THE Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco Thread; Hatches, etc. (PICS)

ISO: Brinsea Eco 20 Autoturn Cradle..Just the Cradle.... I would rather not pay full price, but I might have to.
The problem with buying Brinsea used is there are so few available that even used sells for close to new. My advice would be to buy new, just for the 2 year warranty. Chances are that will be the first part to go out, and the warranty is very nice to have

That's true but I've bought all of my brinsea products used. They hold up great.
So I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I bought the Eco 20 for $100 and mini advanced for $100. They were only used couple times.

I broke down and got the new autoturn cradle. It is great. For my situation, where I am work for 10+ hours a day, it gives me peace of mind that they are being rotated in a timely manner. If you are in situation we you can not turn the eggs or have people do it for you in a reliable manner, I highly recommend breaking down and buying it

The cradle is great, and the humidity pump is worth its weight for me also!

Love my pump. When you are trying to hatch in the high desert, it's very hard to keep humidify up. Doubt I could do it without the pump. I use the channels and the pump together.

I think I am going to have to take a more serious look at the pump and also the Octagon 20 Advance then too. I am in Utah and have the same problem, high desert. I struggle sometimes to get it to lockdown humidity levels and to be able to hold those levels for a sustained amount of time.

What do you like about the humidity pump? Most people that I know don't like the pump. Which is rarity for a Brinsea product, because most of their products are awesome.

The pump is an ingenious design. It sends just a drip of water to a thick paperish pad that hangs above the eggs. You set the RH on the display, and the pump only works when it needs to. It is a bit loud when it runs, but its not running constantly, so its not that bad.
My channels didn't even run out of water this last hatch, because the pump kept up.

I have the advance without the pump. I live in the south and can get away with filling the reservoirs 3 or 4 times during the summer, but the pump would be nice in the winter when the air is dry, especially during lockdown. Even here, I have to add a paper towel under the tray at lockdown to get to 65%. I will get a pump with my next Octagon. As far as the Advance itself, I can't say enough good things about it. From last January til now, there were only a total of 14 weeks that it wasn't running. I've never had any mechanical issues with it, and extremely high hatch rates
