This is one of ours at just shy of 6 months. Looks like it is going to be a good year for Buckeyes everywhere!

All of ours are some combination of Urch and ALBC, yes.

I know how dark you like your birds, bluface3, and I would say both that I'm sure he's not as dark as you are going for, but also that the picture/terrible lighting doesn't capture his color accurately. In person I'm very satisfied with his color.

One bird is inside and one is outside. They could be the same color in person. There is no way to compare digital color online.

Here are a couple bantams I've raised this year. Pullet weighs 25 ounces and the cockerel weighs 29 ounces. They are pretty nice birds; uniform dark color, broad feathers, strong beaks, wide heads, well defined combs, solid little round bodies. I'm looking forward to showing them.

Blueface… Being the sites resident Buckeye guru I have a question for you. There have been times when your birds have competed against other Buckeyes (most notably at a show in Georgia and Tennessee) and yours did not win. Here’s the question… did the best bird win or was some other factor at play??
