The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

Ong what a cute pie!!! What breed is she, netherland dwarf?

Do you keep her inside?
I brought her/him to the vet... NO MITES! :celebrate.... just some dry skin. Netherland Dwarf... she thinks it’s a boy.. too young to really see. Plus, I found out that she also sees chickens!! And that the fur mites are not that common here... plus, chicken/fowl mites are different and they can’t catch the kind bunnies get... I’m so relieved!

But your fur animals can catch them

That's great!!
How old is he/she? Where did you get him? Just curious :)

We just got a new bunny.. we think it has fur mites.. can my cats catch these mites!? And more importantly, can my chickens catch these mites!? I’m sorta freaking out! The bunny is scratching a lot and has some sores.. we got her last Wednesday.. can I bathe her? I called some vets and one recommended puppy/kitten Revolution.. but that is for ear mites I think..
Puppy and kitten revolution is awesome and the only thing like that you can use on rabbits. It’s multipurpose.

i have updates on Lilly my doe. so she was due to give birth today BUT go figure, she was never pregnant to begin with :barnie. so i put Buck and Lilly back together but they didn't do anything, they just snuggle up together and doze... what is going on?
i put them back together yesterday but they just keep doing the same thing....

His first time out of a cage, Should have happened sooner but we had a flood and I have been too busy cleaning up from that. He came out with a limp at first but the limp stopped so I am guessing he was expecting to have a sore hock and did not. He was very aggressive before and after I put the harness on and those hind legs can be very dangerous so he might get minimal walking experiences until he is more relaxed. Maybe just twice a week for now. I want to take my caged rabbits out once a day normally.
