I’ve never had them ....I would treat your bunny, the way you would treat any mite infestation.
So my chickens can catch this!?! I feel like they are crawling on me!Dont bathe her!! Never bathe rabbits, they'll get hypothermia, and can go into shock and die.
Is this your first rabbit?
You can use a flea comb to help get some out. Go down her back, not up it.
And yes, it can transfer to other animals.
Okay, do you have a dog flea comb? If so, comb her with it. Rabbits should be groomed regularly anyways. If you see anything (they'll be tiny) then continue do use it. You can also use the ivermectin of course. So my chickens can catch this!?! I feel like they are crawling on me!
Can you see them on the bunny? She has some sores that are flaky.. and she scratches a lot.. but we can’t see anything else.. If it’s anything I’d rather it be fleas as I can treat that easily... but we do not see fleas either.. could it be allergies? And yes, first bunny...
Here's what this website saidPeople say Ivermectin... how much would I give a tiny bunny? And is there not some kind of spray or powder?
Okay.. thank you so much! And yes, she is set up like a queen.. and I just ordered her a covered play pen... Jelly Bean!Okay, do you have a dog flea comb? If so, comb her with it. Where/how are you housing her? Do you have all the supplies for her?
Here's what this website said
from 0.2–2.1 mg/kg SQ q 11 days x 3 or 0.6–2.7 mg/kg PO q 10 days x 3.
I've never dealt with mites so this is just based off the research that I've done. I hope it helps though
