So cute!so i had to share this our oldest bunny Zeezee is so silly she likes to be held like a baby and her belly rubbed
Oh my..So cute!
But please don't hold her like that, she may seem calm but it's because she's scared. Usually when they're belly side up it's because a predator is about to tear open their belly and eat themPicking them up and holding them is fine if necessary, and some rabbits don't mind but they are most comfortable on the ground.
Eek, sorry for not getting back to you! But Bugs sounds so cute and funny! My one rabbit has pushed my hand away like that when she doesn't want it near her, lol! They are so expressive. He didn't let me put poop in his bed he was really mad at mehe pushed my hand away from his bed. ill make him a better bed.
How precious! I had a rabbit who loved to be held like that, too. He just adored cuddles. Some people say it's bad for them -- but I think some rabbits just love relaxing! lol.so i had to share this our oldest bunny Zeezee is so silly she likes to be held like a baby and her belly rubbed

And I hadn't noticed your earlier post about him finally pooping, but I'm glad he is and seems to be settling in. Hopefully some other people have some advice for litter training if you are still having trouble? All I can say is to keep doing what you are doing; I can imagine it may take a little time for him to develop good habits.

If I had enough grade on my flat property I would build a giant cage and bury it into the side of the hill and with french drains beneath the bottom so any water getting in would just pass through and not flood. Then I would make what you described for a nesting area and a side door to access it. I would also love a situation where Rabbits could dig and make their own tunnels and dens. But I have a flat piece of property that just happens to be the neighborhood basin. I bought the property in a drought and the entire neighborhood was overgrown and flat so I had no way to discover it was the neighborhood basin. Next piece of property I buy will be on the side of a hill, even if its a small hill or a small grade, I need to know before buying a property what direction water will go, then I can build decent rabbit colonies. For now I just have concrete hollow blocks on a raised platform for my rabbit pens..Oh wow, that does sound like a lot of work! The flooding issues do not sound good!
Oh man that's to bad! It sounds like you were not given full disclosure on your purchase! I hope you can eventually get some better land!If I had enough grade on my flat property I would build a giant cage and bury it into the side of the hill and with french drains beneath the bottom so any water getting in would just pass through and not flood. I doubt the seller even knew, the house doesn't flood, the yard does and he was a landlord. Renters in this neighborhood don't even know they have back yards. Everyone hangs out on the front porch when they go outside. I am the weirdo (or normal person in another neighborhood) who hangs out in the back yard builds stuff and has small livestock. The yard flooding is only noticed by me because i use every inch of my back yard for something.Oh man that's to bad! It sounds like you were not given full disclosure on your purchase! I can see where that would make the difference...home owner as opposed to renter!I doubt the seller even knew, the house doesn't flood, the yard does and he was a landlord.
