The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

@igorsMistress I love your bunnies they are so cute glad he finally got neutered is that crazy expensive i have 4yrs before I have to worry about it but is it crazy expensive
Thank you! I had to hunt around a lot to find a vet that was affordable, prices ranged from $150 to $400 depending on where I went. I imagine it depends on where you live though.
I think it’s sad they charge $400 in some cases, it would discourage people from getting it done I think.

I love Poop... especially rabbit poop.. I do not like cat or dog poop though. I guess my screen name says it all
Yeah it does lol. Bunny poop is good stuff! I use chicken poop in the compost pile that I use in the yard, but bunny poop goes straight to the garden.

Oh my bad well @EverythingDucks do you
Yeah, its 8005 Racetrack road, Tampa FL, 32635. It's called Horse Power for Kids now. I was looking at their FB page, I couldn't find any pictures of the rabbits from last year or this year. There was only one from 2017. I'm going to go there soon to see the state.of the rabbits and how they are being kept so I can decide about how much money I'll need and what will need to be done. Who knows, maybe they've been adopted or something. If so, I'll find somewhere else to help.

Ya $400 is a crazy amount mine are for breeding so I really don't have to get it done but I keep mine all together bucks and doe's till they have their babies then I will separate them from the bucks till after they wean babies and only breed the doe's for 2yrs and get them fixed and let them live out there lives fat and happy and breed the bucks for 4yrs then get them fixed so they can live fat and happy and get new ones i love it my husband is excited for me he is so funny he gets excited for me when we have baby chicks or bunnies he doesn't get too excited about the ducks he says they're too loud and messy lol

Sometimes my Rabbit balls go straight to a garden or potted plants, sometimes it goes to a worm bin or worm feeding station in a raised bed, and sometimes it goes to a compost pile all depending on time of year and what I have going on. Thats why Rabbit poo is the best because it can be used for so many different things right away. You can even grow plants in in a pot full full of rabbit poo, I have even used it as a Hydroponic medium mixed with Perlite,

That’s so cool that your husband gets excited too. It’s great to have a supportive spouse.

do you breed your chickens and ducks also?

I’m not a fan of rabbit; granted I’ve only ever had wild rabbit that my husband brought home so I don’t know if a domestic rabbit would taste the same?

You can feed it to your worms? I didn’t know that!

Why does where you dump it depend on time of year? Whether you have the garden going or not?
