The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

Oh! Sorry! I thought you were breeding for meat. My flock is a bunch of barnyard mixes and my buns aren’t anything special but I do adore them.
My flock are mix-matched craziness but most of my bunnies are pure mini rex, lops and Norwegians but soon they will be all 3 oh and there outcove that was flooded the other day

Byc is taking forever to post images I'll try to post later the cage is not very big and neither the litter box. The cage I bought was the best I could find and the biggest I'm trying to find puppy play pens but it's just so hard to find things here.

Id like to build one in my garden but I have to introduce him to my dog soon and there are alot of feral cats here. My terrace is completely safe from predators and I have alot of wood box structures in square shape and rectangular too I have wiring too. I can give it a try!

Nice! Would love to have something like that in future. I'm not into breeding rabbits but feral rabbits or homeless rabbits are not a problem here. Everyone loves to keep rabbits here but doesn't know the proper care for them. Breeds like flemish giants californians and all these fancy breeds are rare here and expensive here . Pure lions heads are hard to find here. I'd love to adopt a rabbit but no shelters here have rabbits. People also catch wild rabbits here idk why but they have a huge demand in pakistan. There are alot of wild rabbits in my village and people are always after them. We don't let them hunt in our area.

very nice! I wish I had an area outside for my buns but In my climate I can’t leave them outside in summer, it gets much too hot. Might do something for them for the cool part of the year though.

I see a lot of people who don't use wire floors in their cages I thought that it was better for them to have wire floors.
I think it depends. It’s convenient for us as owners because it’s easy to clean. However I’ve read it can cause sore hocks. My buns are litter trained and I’ve decided to keep them in a pen rather than a cage. It does require removing the rugs to clean every few months, but a quick vacuum every weekend keeps them clean for the most part.

I think if only part of the floor is wire so the buns have other things to sit or lay on is ok. My buns can’t dig in their pen, they’re in the house, but if we build an outdoor pen there will be wire buried to keep them from digging out. Still, I’d prefer them to have a dirt floor or grass over said wire.
