I’m going to make liquid rabbit gold I think starting tomorrow. Why do you think I bought another
I love Poop! Rabbit Poop is my favorite too because no need to compost it but it usually ends up in my compost pile... The way I do it currently is that I scoop up the rabbit poo with spent hay and spilled feed and dump it in a chicken run because it provides forage for chickens and attracts worms and bugs to the chicken run. it usually sits in the chicken run for up to a year. Then when I shovel out the chicken runs and coops once a year and that composts for at least 6 months, sometimes longer. so those rabbit pellets can take over a year before It becomes plant food... However I am considering making a liquid fertilizer out of it just for the sake of doing it. Currently the compost i grow in is so rich that I do not fertilize anything so the demand for making Manure Tea doesn't exist on my wannabe homestead. I should still do it and experiment with it for the sake of knowing how to do it.

I want to make a compost bin for my chicken run. I’ll have a door that has hinges in the front so I can turn it and let the chickens go in it to turn it plus get bugs and such.

I love having chickens turn a compost pile and forage through it but it can lead to extra work as you have to shovel all that compost back into the pile... Chickens tend to flatten and spread out piles... I personally just let them flatten it out and leave it be afterwards but for the the ideal compost you need to keep it in a pile.

No bunnies yet but as soon as I get my chicken and duck coops runs and stuff all done and under control I want to build some hutches and add angora rabbits to my pile of critters. But I understand they are time consuming so I want everything else all set to be easy to take care of. Just gonna get two or three to start not even sure what breed or coloring yet just starting to look at the idea. Maybe take whatever comes across craigs list or local pages. for cheap.

We usually will throw a big pile of grass in the chicken run and they completely spread it out within seconds. In the fall I usually put dried leaves in a big pile for them and they love to kick through it and get all the bugs. Plus it makes fertilizer for the ground. Lots of people rake their leaves... we just mow them and keep them on the ground, our grass is amazing every year because of it.

I will even throw cardboard boxes in my chicken runs, I break them down first. Chickens will either scratch it up when its wet because worms and bugs hide under it, or they bury the cardboard when they scratch around the cardboard. Cardboard will increase the earth worm population because the worms love laying their cocoons (or eggs) in the cardboard

That’s a great idea. I was going to add pine bark mulch in the beginning of September. It’s 24.95 per truck load. My truck can fit 2 truck loads

Snow is an albino 😍 She’s so cuddly
