The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

Once yours is fixed, if you want to get another one I would ask the owner if he or she is already fixed. It'll save you the time and money too
U will never find a rabbit which is spayed or neutered here people only keep rabbits for breeding purposes here and if u spay or neuter them then u can't sell them. I'm not gonna sell bugs so I'm looking for a vet who neuters rabbits. And I found poop In the litterbox today and saw him pee in there too! A few cocopuffs were out too but its okay.

Hi IM! Domestic rabbit is similar, but not the same as chicken, as some people claim! I prefer chicken as rabbit meat is quite lean & even when they are young they aren't as tender as chicken! We are raising rabbits for food in case the economy tanks. Since things aren't real bad yet, we are going to try & sell this first litter!
Speaking of chicken, my family raised rabbits for food but I never knew. I was a teenager when I found out all that chicken soup I used to eat was actually rabbit. Lol! I think they were either flemish giants or continentals. I didn’t even know we had rabbits as a kid. They were on the second floor of a barn.

I'm going to the animal sanctuary farm place next week. I'm looking on Chewy and Target online to see what I'll need. So far I've got lots of toys, sea-grass mats, a tee-pee, a tunnel, and grass hidey house on Chewy for $65. On Target website I've got a large shallow tub for a litter box, and I'm looking for some rugs and mats that they wouldn't destroy. I can't remember what flooring they had though.. I've seen a lot of people use foam puzzle mats but I worry they would get chewed up. Do ya'll think either of these would last? I'll also be getting fleece

Have you tried allthingsbunnies.com or other animal supply places? Bass equipment & cutler supply are two more that come to mind. You will likely find stuff much cheaper and you know that it’s meant for rabbits.

This is how I'll be redoing the rabbit setup. They used to be in cages on either side in shelves but I'm going to take all that out and replace it with a big area for the bunnies with toys, tunnels, a teepee, a large litter box, lots of hay, boxes, and hidey houses. I'll use a wite gate to keep them in and people out. On the other side I'll have two tall rat cages and two long mice cages in the middle.
