The BYC Book Club

Aw, I was kind of exited on the thread title! Thought maybe you were going to start a book reading suggestion every couple weeks
smile.png
Though nothing wrong with some general book discussion

I'm so bad with reading lately, I used to read all the time and now I might read one or two (fiction) books a year

I need some accountability

So @Chicken Girl1 what's your suggestion for this round? If my library has it (and I haven't read it), I'll pick up!

Oh, good idea! Hmm, what are your favorite genres/authors? I just want to warn you before hand that I will probably very biased with the list and may need some suggestions!

Also, should the list be a vague suggestion (ex. this week we are reading a classic) or should I give you an actual book name?

Oh give me a book name!

Or three...small library, though there's always inter-library loans

Theme is a good idea! So, three classics. Could be something you love and would read again, or something you've always wanted to read.

And anyone else who wants to read can join in and discuss

(This all sounds very ambitious...we'll see!

Haha, which one

. Should we do every week or every two weeks? I'm sorry with all the questions, I'm a type of person who needs every detail straightened out.......

Lol, now I feel pressured!

Two weeks at least!

Ok, pick two classic books. And I'll see if one of them is available at the library so I can read it

Have mercy! If you're gonna inflict Dickens on someone, give them A Tale of Two Cities. For Dickens, it's relatively short, and has some real drama and pace to it. (For the record, I have read several of Dickens' books; some several times. A Tale of Two Cities is my favorite)

:p I told you all I was going to need help picking books!

Hi Chicken Girl.

I love the Bible, Lord of the Rings, Anne of Green Gables and Little Women too.

I also LOVE the Wingfeather series. And the Sword and the Serpent. The Sword and the serpent is a Catholic novel based on St. George and the Early Roman Christians.
