nope ,, i didnt name him ,,, i figure ill let you ,,, this is your thing,, so you get the honors

,, and i think this 1 should go,,, he plays and dances to "the chicken dance" hehehe

the1much (aka: Hippy Jim) - You are so great ... 2 Mascots. I love your peacock and your chickens are completely unsure of what just invaded their run! You can just see their little gears working upstairs to figure it out.

well ,, the roo didnt have much fun with me this morning,, he says im a slave driver,,, first i made him paint some oilfield equipment ,, he hated the mask.

then i caught him sniffing some fumes

but he loved sanding truck parts...

then it was off to the starter and alternator shop ,, he thinks he's a help lol

and i had all i could do to get him away from the sand blaster,,, something about stripping things with 100mph dirt seemed to make him happy,,hehe

i told him maybe i'll give him some time off to play with the kids and birds,,,, but he's kinda not sure bout the big birds,,hehe

thanks chirpy,,, the peafowls are just 2 years old,, ive only had them a few months,, maybe 4 ,, their still unsure bout "strangers" heh

LOL!!! He will be doing the chicken dance after sniffing the paint fumes!!!! lol!! I think he should be named "Jim" of course!!!! That peafowl is gorgeous..what does a person actually DO with a peacock?! Do they lay eggs to eat? Are they only ornamental? They are gorgeous, just know nothing about them..obviously!!!

they lay BIG eggs ,, aint sure if i would eat em ,, but some do ,, i got them as an "investment" people round here pay $25 an egg ,, $50 for newborns,, and once you can tell what sex they are $150 a piece ,, and 2 year olds go for $250 a piece,, and i got them at a GREAT deal

but i like just having them,, was a new thing and its kinda like a challenge to me to make em like me,,lol

,,,, so we wanna call him "Hippie Jim"? lol ,, i feel so proud ,, just like a new daddy hahahaha

Hippie Jim - love the mascot pictures. These guys are sure good at getting involved around the house huh? Sometimes they're just too much help!

Do you let your peacocks roam free? You mentioned getting help rounding them up.

Wow, all the mascots look they are having a great time!!!!! Thanks everyone for hosting them and showing them a good time. I am still bummed about Howard, but I know that where-ever he is, he had a good time with those of us he did stay with. We miss you Howard!!!!!!

nope,,, i dont let em go "out" i keep em in their pen,, but i have to go tell them its time for bed, or they'll try to roost on the top of their coop ,, and with all the coyotes, cats, and freakin thieves,, its just safer for em to be put in,, and that way i also get ALL the eggs hehe ,,,, a guy stopped here once and was asking me if i wanted to buy some from him,, he bragged that he went around at night looking for them in trees,, said if their in trees then they must be some that got away from the owners,,, he didnt like me much after i grabbed him and "explained" a few things to him ,, and even though i would go to jail over my birds,,, just seems easier to keep em here with me

he even tried helping feed my moniter lizard ,, but to me he looked a little scared he would end up like the mouse,,,
if you cant handle "live feedings" dont look ,, hehe
