how big do they get?
If you get regular Coturnix they are less than a pound.
are they friendly or flighty?
Mine are friendly and let me hold them, but you need to handle them a lot as chicks to make them friendly.
do they need much space?
They need 1-2 square feet per bird.
do they eat normal chicken
foods?
They eat game bird starter as chicks, and game bird food when there full grown.
do they free range?
No. They will just run away.
do you need a run?
yes, i have a small chicken coop and run for my quail that they will live in. I’m going to put wire on the floor so Weasels don’t dig in and get them.

Yeah, the back stuff was so fun. I could almost touch my head to my butt! My favorite was going into a backbend and walking around, OR leaning into a backbend without my hands at all, touching my head to the floor, and standing back up! I could also oversplit by 18 inches, or while doing a regular split I could bring up my back leg and rest my head on my foot. XD I could also lay on my stomach, and swing my legs up over my head, hook my feet under my chin, and just sit on my chest. Freaked people out for sure. XD
ooooo thats cool!! i couldnt get my legs under chin but i could do the rest of that stuff!!
i used to be able to grab my ankles and a teardrop backbend, roll out of a backbend over my chest, touch my feet to my chin in a cobra, sit in the oversplits (only up to the couch lol) for a looooong time and read or smth and pull my leg behind my head!!

Ohh, so that's what it's called! I didn't know it was a teardrop. I became able to do the teardrop, then I started letting go of my ankles and just hanging there.

and sometimes id just slide into the splits randomly to freak people out hehehehe
several people thought id hurt myself when i did that before 🤣
I would most easily freak people out by doing a regular backbend, then "sitting" my butt so my knees were bent and it was a sharper angle.
