I used a heated fountain waterer last winter. This summer I used a dog water bowl, which is heated, but I don't know if I'll use in the winter because they tend to....run through it.

Well I have a 1 gallon right now, and the pullets have a 1/2 gallon... I really like them, except for when I clean them. I get Q-tips to clean the little groove that the water comes out of, it's a pain but worth it for the girls to have fresh water. :)

I have one! My water is metal, though, so my feed store had them. I forget it's cost... :/
They are really useful though! Once, when I didn't have mine, their water froze. It was pretty bad. But now we're all set!
