The chick has turned in the egg...

I did assist it by making the hole reasonably bigger, there wasnt any bleeding and it was doing fine, but this morning I found it dead šŸ˜­
Next time if there is not any blood, open it up all the way and do a full assist.
This chick might have had other problems though.
 
I would think it's harder to assist an egg if it came from a broody hen.

Once you remove the egg from her, evaporation/drying out occurs instantaneously causing the chick to be shrink wrapped and putting pressure on the remaining blood vessels that surround the inner shell.

Just a thought.
