O how they love watermelon! Beautiful birds as always. Do you free range supervised or are they living 100% in the new large coop?

They are all on lockdown until September. I need to hawk and doc proof my yard

Nyssa is at 16 weeks, and looking ready to start laying soon! She is the most mature of the lot, by far.

I'm still crossing my fingers for chicks from Sarah Jane. About halfway through now. There were 2 eggs from Nardole's coop, really really hoping for a bright floofy young cockerel from my best boy....

A few more weeks for Donna, but I think she might be the next one ready.

Nyssa has started squatting for the rooster, not much time now!

A baby has landed!!!!
So far just the one-- keeping my fingers crossed more on the way!!

This is from my one polish egg I gave her-- so one of hopefully 2 Nardole chicks. If the other Nardole baby decides to show up, it will be from a blue egg.

That is so exciting! This is something I will probably never get to experience here. Thanks for posting this as I get to enjoy it along with you.

This little floofer looks black? Not a color I was expecting!

Two more eggs hatching, the Nardole egg from Yaz and one of River's eggs!

The Yazmin baby is fresh out of the egg, also black, but perhaps more silvery. Hard to tell until she's dry.
The other that was hatching hasn't progressed much, a little worried about that. Another is cracking.

Yes, Sarah Jane is a very patient and gentle bird. An excellent candidate to raise friendly chicks!
