I've been so caught up with the late hatchling, I COMPLETELY forgot I had the backup chicks arriving today!
6 sexed EEs and a Meyer Meal maker, who looks to be a leghorn.

One of the EE chicks was dull and lethargic over lunch. I put her in Cookie's box while Cookie was getting snuggles, and the she quietly died before I went back to work.
I gave everyone nutri-drench on arrival, and they all seemed to take a shine to Sarah Jane, so not sure what happened.
Cookie has a new box.

Just some random pictures from the last few days. Fortunately Sarah Jane is a low-key momma, perfectly fine with showing the chicks how to eat out of my hand and let me hold them.
Cookie is delighted to have a family to play and snuggle with, and all the chicks were happy to discover watermelon! Sarah Jane continues to be an excellent momma.
