Seren was shoved into an empty cell roughly, stumbling and falling face-first onto the cold, hard ground. Joshua reacted almost immediately. "You can't do that to my sister!" he shouted, trying to thrust his shoulder of the guard that had pushed her. The second guard rewarded him with a fist straight in the face. "Shut up, brat!" The guard yelled, and threw him inside the cell next to his sister's, slamming the door shut as soon as he was in.

Plot: You find yourself in a prison, filled with kids. There are many guards, maintaining order with brute force. You are each put in a separate cell from all other people, with nothing with you except your one belonging, and your prison jumpsuit(of course!). That's it. No other memento of your past life. You have no idea what's going on, but luckily, some of your inmates do.

(Mae is short for Maeve. That's her nickname.)

Mae sat on the stony hard ground. It was as cold as a block of ice through the thin jumpsuit she was wearing, but she ignored it, not giving the guards the satisfaction of seeing her uncomfortable. She sat in the far corner of the cell, one leg drawn up to her chest, the other stretched out along the wall to her right. She had one arm wrapped around her knee, the other held her belonging in her palm. She brushed her thumb over the smooth, yet bumpy surface of the jeweled necklace. He kept it out of sight from the guards, not eating to give them any ideas or torturing her by taking the one thing she had left of her unknown past. Her throat constricted. She wasn't sure why she couldn't remember, but every memory was foggy, like a thick blanket separating her from the truth of her past. She hated not knowing anything of what happened before the jail cell, thin jumpsuit, more kids in other cells, and stupid and aggressive guards.

A cell door opened and in came a two brunette girls- one with piercing blue eyes and the other with warm brown ones. Lissa, the girl with blue eyes, shielded her older sister as they were shoved through the narrow entrance. When the door was slammed shut, Lissa kicked the bars, earning a slap from one of the guards. The girl locked eyes with the guard and for a minute they stared at each other, and the guard hurriedly walked away, shaking his head. Lissa kicked the bars again and spat a venom-laced "low-life" to the man.

Lissa fingered the white-washed brick walls of her cell. She grumbled under her breath as she pictured the scenario that had unfolded a few minutes ago- her and her sister being shoved into separate cells, right across from each other. She was still able to talk to her, but through two walls of bars, it seemed that they were miles away from each other. Lissa pounded her fist against the cement ground. "IDIOTS!" she screeched, to anybody in earshot.

A guard turned to a girl in a cell(Lissa). She was one of the new arrivals, and she needed to be taught the way things were run here. He turned and paced over to her cell. "Shut up, brat!" He shouted, then cracked the whip that all guards keep as part of uniform, landing it solidly on the kid's shoulder. That'll teach her.
