I guess my straw was always pretty well used up

. although I never tried to use it for mulch.

I've just realized being on these boards a lot of folks don't know things like the difference between hay and straw, or other farm/ag/animal related type things a lot of us grew up with.

But it is a great community to ask and get straight answers and different opinions. One of the reasons I use hay, is it is something easily available to me.
