Poor Rhonda was hungry. It had been a whole HOUR since the Treat-Bringer had provided scratch and tasty greens. Sure, there was layer ration in the coop, but who wants to be inside on a day like today? So poor, poor Rhonda had to suffer hunger in the warm sunshine. Finally, she could stand it no longer. There were acres of greens just on the other side of the fence, and surely the Food-Bringer didn't mean for Rhonda to stay locked up forever. That higher fence was only there to keep things out, not Rhonda in.
It took a couple tries and many flaps, but eventually Rhonda was over the fence. And naught would do then, but for Paprika, Rosie, and Bertha to follow. Worf just rolled his eyes and took a nap in the sunshine. The girls feasted on tasty dandelions and clover, and bothered the goats, and ate bugs, and generally had a grand old time. And then, out of the corner of her eye, Rhonda spotted movement. Aha! A gourmet snack, as befitting a chicken of her stature. A big, fat, green frog.
With chicken-like grace any cat would envy, Rhonda pounced on her prize. Unfortunately for Rhonda, the other girls realized what Rhonda was up too. No fool, Rhonda fled, the struggling frog in her beak. Alas, the other girls are all bigger than Rhonda, and so they caught up with her. The frog was tugged in all directions, and within moments each girl had a share.
And thus did the neighbor state 'Wow, I always thought chickens were vegetarians'. Thus does Rhonda continue her quest to educate humans on their proper role as servants to chicken-kind.
