Wow that's cold! How are your chickens doing?

My chickens are doing fine, other than my cockerel has a little bit of frost bite on the tip of his comb. My silkie rooster Whitey does not sleep with his hens, while the hens are asleep in the nest box area, he is on the the other side of the coop sleeping in a corner. I have to go out after dark to put him with the hens so he dosnt freeze. He's my favorite chicken, he makes me laugh at the stuff he does. Here's him in the nest box chillin with Carlos, my sisters cat.

That cat loves chickens, she will sneak into the coop and go sit in the nest boxes. She even slept with the chickens once when I didn't notice her go in the cage. Found her the next morning hanging out with the chickens.

That's cool! I did not know cats can be friends with chickens. I thought they couldn't because a cat ate one of my pullets. But that's so cool that your cat likes chickens. One of my hens got frost bite like a week ago. Her feet where all bloody. But I helped her. My eggs keep on freezing! I can't wait till spring!

All the cats my family has owned have liked chickens. The cats even rubb against the chickens, the head rooster just looks at them with a weird look on his face.

That's funny!!! when ever my dogs bother my chickens they peck my dogs in the face. One will actually attack my dog who just wants to play. I like the picture of your rooster. @Rocky64

Thanks, the picture doesn't do him justice though, and his tail is just starting to grow back after a molt.
