Seriously, my husband and I are making plum preserves right now as well. Finished the harvest yesterday. Hope yours is yummy!
We must have the same type of tree--or at lest a variety that is similar for ripening date.

It smells good. I am heating it with the pectin so I am about half way through.

Perfect day for Jelly making!

Time to rate some coops!

Making plum jam (fruit from our tree) has been an annual tradition in my family since I was born, and we carried it over to my family too!

Unfortunately our tree died last year, so we now rely on neighbors' plums.
You already have my address.

Are you going to plant a new tree in the Fall?

My brother was going to graft off the original tree, but didn't make it in time, so he purchased a few new trees to put in his house. I'm thinking I might plant apricots since I like them better and have enjoyed that jam even more. (Then I can get the plum from my brother) ;)

Apricot pineapple jam is one of my favorites to make!

I need to replace a peach tree and might go with Apricot. The peach tree has pacific bore worms in it. I might be able to save it but research says the fruit will be iffy
