I see. So you're a collge student living in a rented house in missoula montana (i just like the way that sounds) that raises chickens but doesn't care for eggs or hippies. I myself have not seen a hippie in quite some time. I think you are to young to despise anything. That usually does not happen until you have been married for a while. Have you been harmed by hippies?

Well, in a way. I don't like being preached to by feminists, or have mock tickets left on my Subaru, or F150 because it gets bad MPG, and many of my close friends in the past were hippies. The problem was as the grew up pot became the outlet for ALL hippies. And they mad petty stupid excuses for it. I'm not totally anti pot, but I'm a man of the law. Trust me, I despise hippies and that is just that. Not to mention the endless annoyance on campus. And the house isn't rented.

I think another thing you should keep in mind is that hippies have evolved over time. They no longer are quite as pronounced as they were before or even fight for the same things you know. They are a new and evolving subculture of our society and that changes regionally. Here they look normal, but have a thousand stickers and like to ask questions like 'Why isn't female a race' in class. A high level class too. Ignorant. And, even though it goes with college I'm just so tired of all the weed man. But all of my hippie buds, want to do nothing else. They don't even want to go hiking!

So to end, yes, it is an accumulation of many things both personal and social based. But I don't think it to be unjust. I have a very open mind and don't pinpoint any one person for a statement. But after two or three in a bad light or a Mason jar full of weed (seriously - and this was my best bud for 10 years!) my opinion changes. Exposure is everything right lol.

Enough about me. You...

Hmm. I've never done the weed thing, mostly stuck to beer and wine, maybe a little rum while sailing. It is very prevalent though. Never associated it with hippies in particular. Many suits I have known did that or worse. Everything in moderation is key.

I agree that moderation is key to life. But I've done it due to the people who are my friends and I just don't have the time or ability to do it anymore. And what bothers me is that (although they say it's fine and they are in control) I know they are not in control. I study this **** for over 6 hours a day. And I don't know what to make of it other then it isn't all what they say it is. Perhaps it's the 'gateway' ideals with drugs, perhaps a mental dependency. I don't know. Either way, I agree that yes 90% of the time moderation is absolute key.

And that's my story. Back to MEN!
