i want an orp but i'm more into the rarer breeds i want another Sumatra. my last one was awesome ^^ he liked crowing on my lap

I agree about the Buff orpingtons and Australorps. I have six black australorps who are wonderful layers. Their eggs are a gorgeous color of brown and are a perfect size. I also have buffs, which I only recently got a few weeks ago. (I've been dying to get some!) They are so, so, so docile and sweet. I call them my little blondies.

But I agree with you, I would love to have some rare breeds. The problem is that there aren't very many breeders near me. It stinks pretty bad, but hey, I've got some good hens already who lay an egg every day so really I can't complain.
