My sister's college costs like $40,000 a year!!!

o-o That is a lot. I'm in second band and my fees are only $32,000 for the whole 4 year degree. (Medicine, dentistry and stuffs are first band and a bit higher). The liberals want to adopt the US model for education system here and give us interest on HECS starting the day you graduate. As it stands, one doesn't have to repay HECS until one has an income over X, and even then the only increase is how it's scaled for inflation. The liberals suck. That generation had a nice free education and they've done a fine job of using it.
