All my results are out. FOUR HIGH DISTINCTIONS!!!! *does the dance of victory* I was not expecting to get my best exam mark for geology (89%). I was totally convinced I'd failed that exam :p

Anyway, back to regular programming. Yeah, it was round about then that swine flu started. There was also bird flu. I can't remember when one scare ended and the other began! Thanks for your educated discussion, it has helped cement my decision to not get a flu shot :p

I'm here a little earlier today because I wanted to catch the bank before it closed. I'm finally putting my new year money in savings, so it can earn interest (and assist the big multimillion dollar banks in their quest for societal domination :p) instead of sitting uselessly (and harmlessly) in my drawer.
I should get my father to give me another $50 for it because the exchange rate I used was simplified and much too low. And who would pass up a rightfully earned (Read gifted) $50.

Yayy! I have a love-hate relationship with exams.
Did our discussion really have that much effect?
 
Exams are fun in their own way. Or maybe I'm confusing the undertaking of exams with obtaining of results. One is a decidedly more entertaining experience than the other. :p

Yes, I'd say so. I mean, I probably wasn't going to get it anyway because it's a non-essential injection (enough said) but I might've worried about it for a bit afterwards because flu shots aren't something that gets discussed much round here in real life.

Outside the sensationalising local news of course, but I suspect that's hardly a source of information one would lay a considerable amount of trust in.

I did end up getting my extra $50, in a weird sort of way. The original amount was 500, so factoring in my exchange rate mistake it was 550. Then I realised I hadn't thought it too low, it was actually too high. So it should've been 450. I went to return 100 and my father was like, just keep the 500. (Probably too much thinking involved :p)

Exam and fun... I have never myself put those two words together in the same sentence before. (Well, except when referring to the fun some teachers have when giving them)

Yeah, I guess exams can be a little f-- *Spleen hemorrhage* ... The funeral will be on Monday, bring food.
Results, occasionally. Except when they make you wait till the end of the semester to tell you what they are. SERIOUSLY. One prof never could get around to grading, I got one grade back two weeks in and had to wait another thirteen to see the rest. NOT FUN.

(I am, again, on a capitalizing for empathizes word craze. [Prolly due to my spleen and coming back to life bit] It will pass)


So hows life mah peeps?
I'm waiting on my list of texts for next semester to come out, they're taking their sweet time with it. :tongue
Also, it's raining. Drippity plop.

Raining here too. But we were getting smoke from a big fire to our west, so rain is good.
 
Rain is good. :p It seems spring is eager to get started. It's 15 degrees (summer dress weather back in England) and balmy.
Our first German play performance is this Friday. Totally ready for that. I'm playing (don't laugh) the Terminator. But we also have a girly female Darth Vader so it's all good. I think it's meant to be humorous like that.
 
It's about a pair of young people in Germany watching too much TV and being projected into their own sitcom, where they meet and ruin/save the lives of many of the characters they saw on TV. :p

It's just a comedy kind of thing, there's not meant to be that much sense to the story.

To my credit I got Реввоенсовет when I found out it was an acronym thingy. :p

is thankfully guess-able so I'm not at a total loss.

and one can guess сильней in context.

And anyone who's learned Russian for the reasons I did knows what Красная Армия means.
