It was incongruous for the first three years and then I just got used to it.

I haven't had issues with tonsils before. This is the first time I've been this ill before. My father did return from Brisbane with some weird bacterial flu thing two weeks ago, but I think it's unlikely that's related. Anyway, at least I can talk again today so there's progress in the right direction. I spent yesterday communicating through the written word.

Yes actually, believe it or not :lol: As the northern hemisphere is going into summer it gets cold in the southern hemisphere. Whenever I go on holiday these days (I try to get out of the country every summer, because the heat is relentless) it's a 50 degree/90*F difference getting on at one end and off at the other.

Thanks. I feel much better than Tuesday already, when I could hardly walk and I had a splitting headache. :p

Haha, understandable. I can't remember the last time I had an actual location on BYC. Not on this account at least, so several years now. (I've had a few 'novelty' locations but nothing serious.)

Please excuse the forthcoming exuberance but it's exciting

I HAVE MY VOICE BACK.

It returned at about 11 this morning, and all of a sudden I could speak again and swallow without seeing stars from the pain.

Went to the first German play performance, which looks stellar without me in it (although maybe plays all look better from the audience.) Rick did come up to me afterwards and say I was a better Terminator because the gun is almost taller than I am and it's funny. And my robot voice is apparently better. :p (The fella replacing me looks and sounds like the actual Terminator - I thought it was great)
 
About me: I might be approaching the lower boundary of coversational competency over the internet but in real life, I say lots of "like" and "lol" and that's like it, lol.
