it is! but if you want to get over a mile or 2 of range, you have to buy expensive equipment, like roughly $400-600. but its totally worth it!
it be fun to get equipment for 5 mile range, and use one of them ducted RC jets that go 90MPH+
big_smile.png

sounds cool
big_smile.png

Cheaper than getting a pilot's license. Apparently that's around $15,000.
lau.gif

A mile or two?! Isn't that far enough?

I like fast planes. The faster the better. Try 500 knots.
old.gif
(Hee hee)

not nearly if you're going 90MPH+. cuz then everything goes by quick and you get bored of your surroundings real quick
wink.png

i'm planning on getting a slower plane that has at least 1km of range. and the FPV equipment i'm looking at has a 200mhz transmitter (a rough estimate range for that would be about 1km)

as do i
big_smile.png

i want a real F-18, i can get them to go 1100 knots without even using the afterburners on FSX!

(lol, you're getting me into this whole lol business.)

Except the dudes from Hawaii Five-O, but I guess it's their job to disarm the bomb and take it off, so they can start questioning about possible suspects.
lau.gif

They were quizzing me on the words for our songs, because they thought I didn't go to practise. I was terrified. I forgot all the words. I probably actually looked like I never went once.

Whatever happened to our "Fart 4 U" Unicorn powered environmental thingamajig?

Imagine. Your sitting there in class and they come flying through the windows and door, *Students screaming and running around.* *Some random dude yelling "Stay calm!" and waving a taser* *You being tackled to the ground*
*The teacher laughing hysterically*

Do you watch Hawaii Five-O??

I have been in the same exact position, accept I had practiced, I was just so shy back then. I used to blank if people I didn't know asked me a question.

The unicorns turned out to be allergic to lentils. Farted like a dream, but their insides were playing up.
tongue.png
lau.gif

That reminds me of "Meet the Fockers". The policeman is waving around his taser and zapping the Fockers, yelling at them to "stay calm". LOL.
gig.gif

I do watch, when I can. Which is not very often, unfortunately!

I still blank when people I don't know ask me a question. In fact, I usually blank when people I DO know ask me a question too.

That is also true. Although when you're at FL350, it feels like you're crawling through the air as everything is so far below.
tongue.png

Ah, that sounds good. Then you could have a detailed look inside the clouds. When I'm going on holiday, I never seem to have enoughtime to scrutinise the clouds carefully.
lau.gif

1100 knots?! Hell, man, that's fast. Too fast for my liking, I'd probably start to feel queasy.

i see

i guess it could go high enough to go in the clouds, but what i'm thinking of more is bugging the boaters on the lake
lol.png
you wouldn't believe how many boats they got on that lake during the summer. theres usually a good 40+ boats at a time (tis a pretty big lake, about a 3km long, and 1km wide) plus i could get a good look of whats on the small island

faster is better to me
big_smile.png

once on FSX, i flew from Indianapolis to the middle of Oklahoma in about 45 minutes in a F-18!

We have a small island in the middle of our river.
tongue.png
You can only get there by paddle boat, which not only costs $12 for 30 minutes, but also manages to get itself stuck on the banks, which are hidden just below the water's surface. Exploration by aircraft would be much more valid.
lau.gif

That is fast. I remember concorde, sad that those don't fly anymore! I would've loved to give it a shot.

the island in the lake here is surround by reeds and milfoil (a terrible water plant that gets tangled in your props)

F-18s are still in service here
big_smile.png

which reminds me; do you know if Australia designs and manufactur its own military weapons? cuz i haven't heard of any Aussie designed guns, tanks, jets, etc.

Oh yuck, I hate weeds. We get all sorts of pond weed around these parts, for a little while fishing in the river was banned because something unsavoury had started to grow.
lol.png
It must be the weir, the water is stagnant these days.
tongue.png

I haven't got a clue.
hu.gif
I'm not the person to ask, a while back I thought that all military weapons came from Russia.

i hear ya! weeden sirnt böse!

lol
there are a ton of cheap Russian weapons that lots of countries use, like the AK-47, Dragunov, RPG, and the RP6. But a ton of countries use German and American weapons, like the M16, M4 Carbine, M107, MP5, MP7, G60 or G90 (i forgot which number it was), and G18. Chances are, Australia uses tons of M4s.

Oh, and seaweed is pretty gross as well. It's everywhere at the most popular beaches, sticks to your legs when you try to go swimming.
sickbyc.gif

......

:hmm

Okay... I see...
By the way, I hear Russia are having a shot at marketing their own commercial airliners. Several major airlines have taken the jump, although Russian planes do seem to have a really bad safety record.

agreed!
interesting. must be pretty big! Russians are known for making huge vehicles
wink.png

just looked up the Australian Army on wikipedia, and i was part wrong. your guys' main service rifle is the Austrian AUG. but there are a few American guns, like that browning pistol it mentioned and a sniper rifle.

HAH! just about all the guns listed for the Australian special forces are either American or German! was i right, or was i right?
tongue.png

wait a sec... Australia only has 59 battle tanks in the whole country!!?? well at least they're Abrams. but still; 59?
