Bloody bulb blew and blew the fuse to the garage.

Temp down to 32degC (should be between 36.6 and 38.8)

Bought inside and rigged up another heater with the father in laws foot warmer...I'll have to stay up for a few hours now and make sure it doesn't go too high.

It's 1am and I'm watching the temp in the chilli bin to make sure these four eggs don't get too hot.

Might not get any sleep at all tonight.

Ed, they called them the wrong thing. The birds are just Lavender Orpingtons, not Lavender BUFF Orpingtons. I love that color. In the U.S. they're called Self-blue. Good luck with your hatch!

So far the chilli bin is sitting with a block of wood in the top to chock it open.

The temp flutuates between 37-39degC

Have to get a water weasel to get a better indication on temp inside the egg.

Put the chilli bin in the garage for the night.

The house' ambient temp was too high, and the water weasel was sitting on 38-39degC

In the garage the ambient temp is 11-12degC and the water weasel is 37.4degC

The idel range for the eggs is 36.666 to 38.888deg C

Look like the garage is the place for the bin (incubator).
