The crowing silkie hen

I recently adopted a new 7 month old partridge silkie hen, and to my surprise she started crowing! She does it when she hears my other hens, so i'm guessing she is trying to assert her dominance. Chickens can be weird

Shes supposed to be a pure silkie, but i think shes missing one of the genes for silkie feathering

I'm no Silkie expert that's for sure...All I have is Crazy Alice who is a Silkie cross and one hard core Broody Hen...Such a strange looking Hen she is ...She raises my Brahma, Orpington cross Chicks...By 4 weeks they are way Bigger than her although she still loves them..Hilarious to see her lifted off the ground with BIG Chicks hiding under her wings...Super Momma....
