Ash leaned against a tree, waiting for Moth.

‘ Who’s Ash?’ Maybelle asked, intrigued.

 

[Kale the Quail]

"my person." Moth said. "well, technically, he's my second person. My first person was Hazel. But she died and now Ash is taking care of me."

‘ If I turn back into a pigeon, can you let me come with you two? I have nowhere else to go really.’ Maybelle said, her smile gone.

"sure, I guess." Moth said, "follow me,"

Maybelle thought really hard about being a pigeon, and poof, she was a bird again. She nodded and waited for further instruction.

 

[Kale the Quail]

"ok," Moth said and led the pigeon to Ash.
"who's this?" Ash asked.
"the pigeon that was being hunted by the hawk." Moth said, "she wants to come with us, wherever we're going."
