The curse— RP

Anita grabbed the water topping it on the flames to put them out. “There. Done” she breathed a sigh of relief
Maybelle watched the table fire die from her new perch on Crow’s shoulder. She didn’t particularly like this place so far. Crazy kids, fire, it was really ruffling her feathers.
“Good job.” Crow said, coming forward to look at the damage. Dacaw, meanwhile, spun in circles in the background.

“Ugh my family are psycho!” She complained “I think we should go camp in the woods tonight so their craziness doesn’t rub off on either of us”

“Ok.” Crow said, “But they’re not as crazy as the crows.” He joked. He walked over and grabbed Dacaw. He was a bit disappointed, having wondered what it was like sleeping in a house. That nap on the floor of Lunaka’s hut had not counted.

Maybelle rolled her pigeon eyes, though inside she was actually a bit hurt. Anita had said either of them, and Maybelle knew she meant Anita and Crow, it was pretty obvious. Anita was only worried about her and Crow, which made sense, though it still stung feeling like an afterthought. She just shrugged it off, they only knew her as a pigeon so they were sorta expected to treat her like a pigeon.

She laughed “Mum can we grab a blanket and pillow. I think we will sleep outside tonight” Anita turned to her mum who nodded “yeah go for it”. She ran up the stairs and motioned for Crow to follow.

Anita didn’t even think of Maybelle.
