Rebecca nodded. Glancing up, she saw a hunter falling and flew downward, hoping to catch him before he died.

Hixel shrugged.

Rebecca caught the hunter in her beak, but at that moment she forgot to keep flying and began to fall. She let out a screech as if to say, hold on!

Hixel had no idea what she was saying, but had sense to try to hold on.

Rebecca flapped her wings quickly as she fell and landed in ungracefully on the ground below, twisting her wing as she hit the earth. Rebecca let out a disgruntled squawk and then turned back into her human form. “Well, we’re here,” she said with a nervous laugh

"Sorry about the rough landing." Rebecca glanced over at the hunter. "You okay?" The hunter nodded, then looked at Hixel. "Say, we've met, haven't we?"

Tulcaw watched the Magic melt the hunters’ faces off. She crouched, terrified. When she looked back at the ground, she was disgusted by what she saw. They no longer had any facial features.. just a scarred, horrible twisted thing where their faces used to be. She wisely decided to get the heck out of there. I’m not risking my feathers for bread.
