Ash sighed and twirled his finger around in the water. He raised his head and looked out into the water. what's beyond that water? humans? or more cursed ones? He knew he couldn't travel that far, so he pushed the thought out of his head, moving his thoughts back to his plan. It'll never happen Ash. And you know it. "It'll never happen and you can't make it." Ash whispered quietly, but what if you can? what if you can- No. He buried his face in his hands and groaned in frustration.

Rose heard the boy whisper. She was close enough to know what he was feeling, and it was a mix of frustration and sadness, sorta like how she felt every day. Rose watched him bury his face in his hands and walked over to him. ‘ Are you okay?’ Rose asked as she sat down next to him.

Ashling continued to swim deeper and deeper into the water. Suddenly, whispers began to surround her. Hello, an airy voice said, cutting through the soft mummers, the voice crystal clear.

Ash jerked his head up as a girl sat down next to him. She must have been watching him. "Yeah, I'm fine." he said. do you seriously think I'm going to tell you anything other than that?

Ashling backed up against a boulder. Come with us, Ashling. Come with us. The seals began to surround her

Ashling shook her head. The seals continued to surround her...Ashling swam up to the surface as fast as she could, gasping for air as she broke the surf
