“Caw.” Crow agreed sadly. Where should we go? He wondered. The Family Tree? It’s kinda far.. Maybe that hut? But whoever lives there might be back. Does Anita have a house? Thinking about the Family Tree made him remember the task he was supposed to do today. He inwardly moaned. Cawander had told him to get nesting materials. She wasn’t going to be pleased. Even almost being captured wasn’t a good enough excuse for that bird. She frowned, “you can’t transform. You can’t talk, I can’t listen. Oh gosh this is a disaster!”

After cleaning up the kitchen, Rebecca took a step outside once more. She looked around cautiously. She didn't see any cursed. Smiling, she made her way to the forest to get some water from the streamRebecca was on her way back home when she remembered what she'd left for. However, at the moment, Rebecca didn't care. She rushed inside and bolted the doors. Rebecca glanced down at her arms. The skin was smooth, without a feather in sight. It must have just been my imagination, or the cursed doing something to me, she thought. Rebecca quickly finished breakfast and brought it to the table where her family was waiting
Anita sighed “do you want to go? I can leave if you want me too”
Crow landed on Anita’s shoulder, trying to convey that he didn’t want her to leave. Also, Maybelle couldn’t fly, so he definitely needed a pigeon transporter...Maybelle listened to their conversation impatiently. She was the one who was stuck as a pigeon, shouldn’t they be paying more attention to that? She just sighed, and started preening her very long tail feathers.
A crow cawed loudly at her. After cleaning up the kitchen, Rebecca took a step outside once more. She looked around cautiously. She didn't see any cursed. Smiling, she made her way to the forest to get some water from the stream
Rebecca glanced up. "Oh, hello there." She said, bending down to fill her bucket with water. "You needn't be so loud, you know. Did you see the...gifted? I ran into some today, and I'm not sure, but I might have run into some yesterday. I helped them. Can you imagine? But they seemed nice enough." Rebecca placed her bucket on the ground and stared at the crow. "Sometimes...I fear that I might be cursed." She said softly. She didn't know why she was talking to a crow, but she'd always found it easy to talk to animals and birds. They kept her secrets and never told.A crow cawed loudly at her.
The crow cocked her head. “CAW!” HEY BRECAW, THIS HUMAN IS TALKING TO ME!Rebecca glanced up. "Oh, hello there." She said, bending down to fill her bucket with water. She didn't know why she was talking to a crow, but she'd always found it easy to talk to animals and birds. They kept her secrets and never told.
"Hi. I see there's another one of you." Rebecca smiled warmly, and her smile faded. "If I'm cursed, though....I can't be. My friends and family will hunt me, and kill me if they can. It'll mean that I'm evil. I'm not, I promise. I'll be the type who killed my brother." A tear rolled down her cheek. "If I'm one of them, I'll be hunted like an animal. I'm nice. They can't hunt me. I'm nice..." She repeated. "And the cursed are evil..." She buried her face in her hands. "I'm not cursed, but how do you explain this?" She showed her arms, where the feathers had begun to grow back. "They keep coming back. They keep growing. Then they disappear. One of the cursed showed me a vision. I had big, huge wings. That can't be me, can it? It has to be a lie. It has to be." Rebecca sighed, so confused. The crow cocked her head. “CAW!” HEY BRECAW, THIS HUMAN IS TALKING TO ME!
Another crow seemingly dropped out of the leafy boughs of the tree and landed on the low-hanging branch beside her. “Caw.” You know why?
“CAW.” NOPE.
