Amy glanced at the child and almost smiled, but she kept her face serious.

Amy wasn't sure why the small girl had run away, but she had to focus on what Rose was going to tell her.

You will have your own chambers here in the main house, and you will be expected to be ready to go out at 9:00 tomorrow morning to hunt, after the wild gifteds have woken up and are easily trapped. Your room is 2C, if you need help finding it don’t hesitate to ask one of the servants.’ Rose said, and then she left through another door.

Amy nodded to no one and walked off to find room 2C.

Ash glanced at the sky. it was almost dark. "come on, we should rest in a tree for the night. hold onto me so that you don't fall while I'm climbing into the tree." he got Alana safely into the tree and let sleep slip over him.
