Bracken heard his call and sniffed the air. He was only about a mile away. She cautiously scent marked a nearby tree and headed on her way to the stream.

Otto had headed on her direction, and picked up her scent not too far off. He approached cautiously, always checking his surroundings.

Charlie happily swam in the river "chasing" a rock while fighting the current.

Danielle woke up early in the morning and put on her rabbit fur gloves, patchy fur coat, and let her hair down so it could keep her ears and neck warm. She was pretty bundled up as she struggled to put on her work boots, so she decided she was ready to go outside.

After caring for her livestock, which most were nearly ready for slaughter, she got her prized rifle and some Mace to head out and hunt. She had set some beaver traps in various streams yesterday, so hopefully they had caught some beavers. Danielle used to despise traps, but these caught the animals by the neck, so they didn't suffer.
Taking a deep breath of cold, lung-stinging air, she followed a trail she knew quite well that would take her to her first few traps.
