Fido got up and growled. The large animal jumped back and whinnied! It was a horse! My father had told me how these animals can run as fast as lightning and can stomp you if you're not careful. The horse took a few steps back, but didn't leave the cave. "Friend, may we help you?" Buddy asked calmly. The horse said in a sweet voice, "I....I sleep here." "Terribly sorry, ma'am, but we cannot leave. We have a sick rooster and puppy." Fido said. The horse stomped her feet and said in a irritated voice, "Well can I sleep here with you or not?!" "Of course, ma'am." Fido said sarcastically. The horse glared at him and slowly walked over and lay down on the opposite side of the fire. Master awoke from being asleep and gasped. "Hi little girl..." He said softly. The horse jumped up and trotted away, scared! He clucked his tongue softly and approached the mare, murmuring soft words. The horse suddenly reared up and whinnied a loud, high pitched squeal! Fido jumped forward in front of master and barked at the horse, "STOP!" The horse went back on all four hooves and said, "My name is Tinkerbelle... Tink for short." "Do I care?" Fido growled. The horse then charged him, hooves pounding the ground heavily. "NO!" I barked and ran out in front of Fido. The horse tried to stop, but couldn't.... she skidded on the rocky floor towards me and....
