The Dragon Riders

Kyle came to a halt when he saw Aria. "Aria?!" He asked surprised by her presence. Aria quickly grabbed Starflight. "Kyle?!" She asked. It's been a week since she's seen him. Kyle hopped off of midnight.

Chip can up and licked Julie's hand. She smiled and rubbed his scaly head. "Are you hungry?" She said aloud. As usual, she had Sam bring her a price of raw meat. Julie tossed it Ito the air. Chips hot a stream of fire at it, searing it till it was fully cooked before letting it drop in his mouth. He swillers the piece of meat whole in seconds. She laughed. She flopped back against her pillow. Life was so hard. What would happen to chip? Would she be able to keep him if Ryan found out about chip? She didn't know. She could only hope that he was different that she saw him years ago.

She sat up. That's it! she thought. She needed to talk to Rachel. Rachel was her best friend. She hadnt seen her for a few weeks and decided she needed to go talk to her. "C'mon chip. Lets go see Rachel, k?" She said as she got to her feet. She was still wearing her new riding dress.

Half an hour later...
Julie rode up to the lake, knowing she would she there. She loved to swim. She halted cocoa and tied him to a tree. She walked to the edge of the lake and stopped. "Rachel!" She called. Just then, Rachel broke through the surface. "Hey Julie!" She called. The she noticed chip. "Oh my gosh!! I've for a dragon too! Kitty. C'mere girl." She said. A few moments later, kitty broke through the surface.
Julie smiled. "That's awesome! C'mere. I need to talk to you!"

Ryan creaked his door open and looked scanned the castle hallway to see if his dad was anywhere near. He sighed in relief and closed he door. Then, walked over to the tolden cage with the blue parrot inside. A very rare species of parrots. He opened the cage and the bird flew onto his arm. "Hey Juno." He whispered as he gave Juno a cracker.

Julie and Rachel sat at the edge of the lake and talked. "I'm not sure. But I think it's the right thing to do to marry Ryan. He's coming tomorrow so we can meet and get to know each other. My father arranged it. He's having one of the guest bedrooms in the castle and is staying till after my birthday next week." Julie said to Rachel. Rachel nodded. "Do what you think is right. Not what your father, mother or anyone else thinks." She said sweetly. She put her arm around her shoulder. Julie smiled and hugged her tightly. "Thanks. I think it's the right thing to do." She said after taking a deep breath.

Aria's heart lifted with joy as she saw him. Starflight flew into the air and towards Kyle. "It hatched." He said fascinated. Starflight sniffed him and then rested on his shoulder. "Heh, I guess it likes you. And yeah, it hatched a week ago..." She said. They stood there in silence for a little while until Kyle spoke. "So, what are you doing out here?" He asked putting his hands on his side. Aria looked behind herself and then back at Kyle. "Just...wandering." She suddenly remembered the foot print but decided not to tell him.

Before they knew it, it was getting dark. "Oh my gosh. I'm gunna be late for dinner. I gotta go." Julie said and hugged Rachel tightly. "Thanks for the advice." She said, feeling much better about the situation than before. She got on her horse and left, chip following over head of the trees.

Rachel went back home, leaving kitty at the lake. No one ever went to the lake and kitty wasnt safe at her house, so the lake seemed the perfect place for her. She opened the door to we house and walked inside. She lit a lantern and closed the door behind her. As usual, her dad wasnt home. She had told Julie to say hi to her father, Sam, for her. She made herself some food and went up to her room.
