The dreaded question... Pullets or roos

I've got a mixed flock so I have nothing to compare each bird to so I turn to you guys to ask the dreaded question of sex... Both these birds are extremely docile, lap chickens and will happily cuddle. A fair amount of chest bumping happens in the afternoon but its never more than a quick bump and squawk. Both are 7 weeks. Thank you! Apologies the photos aren't great, chickens are tricky to keep still!

Sorry to say, but I think you have a pullet and a cockerel. You’ll know for sure in 1-3 weeks

Thank you, but which is which? I'm inclined to say white is roo and black is pullet? Sods law to be the one that's most affectionate is the roo

Agree, your white one is a cockerel. In my experience they do tend to be the friendlier chicks.

Everyday's a learning day I guess, I'd assumed Cockerells weren't friendly, it's a shame because I got a great bond with Queen who I'm guessing will need renaming as king and rehoming.
