The Duck Thread

Have you ever had allergy to soy?
yes - i have recently figured out if I avoid soy, lentils and a few other legumes, life is better...

I do have chickens and they get the same feed as the ducks and their eggs do not bother me....so at least I can eat half my bounty.

We have lots of food allergies in my house and so are part of many allergy groups. Lots of people cannot feed their chickens or ducks whatever it is they are allergic to. People who are corn allergic cannot use corn feed, same with the soy. You might try changing their feed. You may look for a chicken feed that is soy free (that's what we do) and then adjust the nutrients for ducks with add ins.

Any experienced Muscovy duck breeders tell me sex of my 4 ducks? they are about 6 or 7 months old and one of the lighter colored ones tries to breed the darker one but im suspecting they are all drakes.

Doing much better today. She is out of the incubator and with the others. Giving them as much grief as she is getting.

Sweet little girl baby. So cute. I am glad she's doing so much better.

Delivered this little guy to his/her owner today. Rode the hour nestled to my neck. Took right up with his new momma. The good news is I'll be able to watch him grow up, as they live next to our camp.
The other gal will get the other 2 tomorrow.

Unbelievable how horridly cute this is. LIttle precious child nestled in your neck. Then the Opie-like pose on the quilt. EEEEEEEEEbeeeeeep.
