This time they sent 5 ducks and 10 chicks. One duckwas dead when I picked them up and was dead for awhile I think. Then I lost one more duck soon after getting home and settled. So there are 3 leftthat seem fine and running around 3 chicks have already died and 2 seem iffy but I think I might be able to save them yet.

Did you contact ideal again and let them know, how long were they in transit? Maybe they are like Muscovy ducklings hard to ship. I am very sorry for your loss and for the chicks too hope the other 2 pull through.

She has to sit 24/7 to hatch them so If you want her to hatch ducklings wait till she doesn't come out of a morning or 2 then put in your order. lol Some Pekins will brood all the way through some don't but we have a few members who have dedicated Pekins that have.

I think she is only a "part time momma"! LOL So far she still comes charging out of her nest as soon as I open the enclosure for them to come out.
