Patty we finally got the rain you sent our way... Thank you it was some good soaking rain too.

I even got a weather alert on my phone saying we could have flash flooding, but our river is so low it would have to rain about 40 days and nights before that happened.

LOL...bless your hearts. I do carry a baseball bat in my car and would seriously knock one out of the park if I caught anyone abandoning any animal. I almost wrecked my car once when I was behind some idiot that literally tossed a kitten out of a moving car and kept going. I picked up that baby (a beautiful blue eyed Siamese) and floored it trying to catch up to that stupid human. They got away, though.

That is pathetic, to bad you didn't get to use the bat... did the kitten live?
Our dirt road use to be a dumping ground for dogs, puppies, kittens & cats even 4 ducks all drakes got dumped in the river down below our home. Not so much anymore thank goodness. Now they just dump their hunting kill out what they don't take for meat.

Yes, the kitten lived. She had some minor abrasions and that was it. I found her a forever home since I lived in an apartment that didn't allow pets at the time. Would have worked out even better had I at least got to knock out the taillights of that car!

I can't give you an answer as to why she did this but I can say how sorry I am that this happened to you and the babies.  Is she a first time broody?

Yes she's a first time broody she's a little under a year old , my silkies have hatched many chicks and she's always loved them

Yes dumping carcasses, sickening. But the buzzards usually clean up pretty quick

Deb got her pool all set up and Opie flew in to check it out

then Debs Flock gets wind of it and heads over to see who is in Their new pool

The flock multiplied Soon they invited their friends

and more friends showed up,

Well he said he was a friend at the end of the day Debs Flock had to go to their room for having a party without asking permission..

Back to the ole Kiddy pool again.

Too cute! I love them all lined up on the side of the pool. (I'm trying NOT to imagine how nasty that pool would be after a duck party!) LOL
