The Duck Thread

Yes I think thats true. I try to give mine a good mix of food. Variety of lettuces, pellets, corn, cucumber, marrow occasionally and courgettes. They also love melon all varieties. Friends of mine had ducks, he wolud feed them scraps, boiled potatoes not salted and anything he could think of.
 
I have been searching but I can't find the answer... Hoping all you wonderful duck keepers might be able to help... I have 3 breeds of ducks that have been kept together this winter, but we want to hatch some true to breed. How long do I need to separate them to get true breed fertile eggs?

Okay, thanks. So 3 weeks separated and then I can collect eggs for hatching? I was hoping for closer to 2 weeks, as I don't have a great place to separate them out to. I may have to wait until most of the snow is melted, but I am getting the bug to hear some littles quacking.
