They are all fine. Ebony laid today so she isn't feeling broody. But maybe spending so much time with the littles will awaken her maternal instincts. At the very least though she is tolerant of them, allowing them to snuggle next to her and climb on her back. So just gonna have to let them spend time and see if she will adopt them or not. Her presence does calm the little ones down so she is helping them a little already.
Just the fct she lets them be with her to me is a miracle, none of my ducks have wanted any other ducks kids close to them and would even nip them if they got the chance.

How noticeable is the size difference when grown? I had Howard, a Pekin drake that had just gotten his drake feather in, and he was big. Howard was 2X the size of Ebony. I don't want the Cayuga drake to be that much bigger than her.
Cayuga drake won't be that much larger than Ebony I was talking about difference in size between Pekin and Cayuga. I have Muscovy's the drakes can weight 12-15 lbs ducks 5-6-7 at tops, they mate fine together. I like to have water available though because I think mating in water is easier on the girls.

I didn't know that. I know some chickens will adopt babies and geese too. I just figured some ducks would as well. Ebony is such a sweet gentle duck, we adore her. I really hope that she makes a full recovery and that the babies and her bond so she is never alone or outcast again.

Thanks, Howard was Pekin and the only drake I had for comparison. As stated he was twice Ebony's size. I knew Cayugas were a bit smaller but didn't know how much smaller. I want to give Ebony a full life with family, but don't want another drake as large as Howard bulling her. The white cresteds female ducks are also much bigger than Ebony, she is the tiny girl in the flock. I am glad that the Cayugas will be a lot smaller than the Pekin created we have, maybe they will be the same size as Ebony herself, lol.
