Yea I've got my hands full with hatching and brooding but I've never been to a poultry party before =) so I'm going, hoping to swap lots of eggs and was looking for ducks =)

I had to laugh, a poultry party here means something completely different. It is where the people in town get together and play games (bingo, poker, etc...) for frozen turkeys and hams. I guess it's just a regional thing, kind of like mountain oysters.

So this past week, we got a rescue duck from a friend, and I'm super curious if anybody knows what she looks like she is? She's a little bigger than our black swede and smaller than our anconas, but she looks like some swedes in coloration and sorta stands straighter, maybe more like a runner. This grey duck in the foreground is her, and her markings are the same on both sides, except right below her bill on the other side she has a big brown spot like she got painted, haha. Her name is Lucky

Very pretty ducklings, and those goslings are pipping because they hear all the racket out there and are so nosy they have to come out early and investigate.

Super jealous. Hatch date for my broodys eggs is here and she won't let me get within 10 feet. Lol.
