Those are actually Welsh Harlequins, it looks like you have a silver drake and silver and gold hens (the one with bronze speculum is a gold). They are very pretty! Welsh Harlequin are my favorite.

Thank you for letting me know. I thought my drake looked like a mallard, so assumed the females were also. Well what do you know. Learn something new every day. Guess I'd better read up on Welch Harlequins. Thank you:)

Typically they will remain broody for the month or so that they would be broody on a next with eggs. Occasionally a broody female will just give up and come back to "normal" but rarely once they have produced a clutch of eggs and the hormones have taken over.
Well these girls will just have to get over it. Lol

Ok. Just learned they aren't mallards. 2 people in the forum said they are Welch Harlequins. The old man we bought the parents from told us mallards and not really knowing duck breeds I thought they looked like mallards especially my drake.I'm pleased to be corrected on this:)

So my ducks are almost 2 months. Charlie has a loud quack and is always loud trying to be the center of attention! Jojo quacks but everything about him is soft and quiet and I guess you could say raspier! So charlie is female and jojo is male? They are still getting their adult feathers so its too early for the curly tail feather. So if I go by voice sexing, am I right? Or could they both be girls?!

Miss Lydia is so right on and so is Kaessa. I do not own ducks but have met and been around a friend's WH and she is a doll. A sweet and cuddly girl. Once she jumped in my lap when I was crouching to pet her and it made my day.
