The Duck Thread

Yea he eats fine. Charlie's a pig and JoJo is submissive but he's getting enough. A lil bit ago I had JoJo and charlie in their pool and my daughter in her own baby pool out in the yard. They were loving it. The ducks were crazy happy, same pool as always but they were frantically going under water and in fast circles, etc. It was hilarious. Point being Charlie has done this but not JoJo. When they were soaked they would fluff out their feathers and spread and flap their wings, first time for JoJo and I was so happy for him especially since it was worrying me and I just mentioned it. Since all the advice, he's been great. No episodes but its only been a few days, I'm praying he stays strong! So far he's good! Im trying to find out why people give ducks Apple cider vinegar, I'm new to this and I have no idea. Do u know?
I don't know about apple cider sweetie but it looks like Miss Lydia found a link. I think you just watch and take care of JoJo like you are. Hopefully the sweet drake will find his ways or he just could be quirky and not do duck things lime the others.

Are you sure that she is the one that broke the egg, Were the insides around the broken egg? I ask because that sounds like something a predator would do. Skunks will brake and eat eggs but you would have probably noticed the smell. Also, Raccoons will brake and eat and egg though they would probably have gone after the goose itself.

Now that I think about it, it was most likely my chickens. They go in her cage & I always manage to get them out but maybe this time I didn't see them go in.. darn..

But, with muscovys you get the size difference at a point that means there really isn't much guessing.

Ducks poo a lot but JoJo's poo is like black liquid. Is it BC he's eating too many mealworms or extremely runny from too much greens? Or am I just crazy and always think there's something wrong with my lil baby boy? Honestly

I had these two few days back, however seller says their breed is 'duck'. Please any idea of breed?

Here is the first duck (black Swedish? hybrid?)

Second duck (Saxony? hybrid?)
