The Duck Thread

So all 4 eggs in the bator are alive! And lots of movement! One egg appears to be a double. They were set May 31. Question. There seems to be some empty space, not the air cell, but along the side. It's in 3. Yellow glow when lit. Temp 99.5° humidity 40. Circulated air. Am I looking a seriously sticky?
It's to early to tell yet, give him more time, I have see several eggs do this and all of a suddenly the last week BOOM, they fill up those eggs. Come closer to the due date, then yes it's possible he could be a sticky baby. I would do one of the two things, either less humidity or more Spraying/misting.

That's why I posted here! Should've tagged her. I think she's enjoying a new hatch now...

Actually my hatching was a horrible fail. GRR, I'm doing GREAT with Chickens but having some issues with hatching ducks this year. So I am going to call it a day for them. No more until winter time, then I will start them up again.

thank you for the help you give everyone, including myself. It's very time consuming and extremely generous, especially given that you're in hatch season too!

My issue is this is the first year we have not had A/C because it broke so now I'm having to adjust to the different atmosphere. But It's only going to get hotter and more humidity so I decided to call it quits for now. LOL

I may just let my girls do the work

Yeah, my girls seem to have the better luck! Thus far, I'm doing ok, minor pacing and small bald spot!!!! My girls, calm , cool and collected!

Oh yes slordaz , you are correct about that and the idea of using the egg's is all about just cleaning them out and the garlic will defiantly give it that extra cleansing we are looking for ...... Thank you ..

im going to go get garlic today but how i started giving him scrambled eggs but how many times a day should i feed him eggs. i have two ducks and i usually give them plain yogurt mixed with mealworms or cottage cheese for breakfast but i made them three scrambled eggs this morning instead. my other duck is going to be eating it too so i have to make sure that is is good for both of them. and then in their regular feed and in a few snacks ive been mixing the diatomaceous earth that was suggested. but how many times a day should if feed him scrambled eggs with garlic?

Quote: Once a day is fine for scrambled egg's ..

All my baby's get the egg's M-W-F normally and it sure helps keep them healthy and It really cut's down on any medical problems ......

Here are my goslings this morning enjoying egg's and waffles , it was very tricky to get this shot as everyone keeps getting in the way and when I open the door the goslings take off for momma goose's protection
