After working with a pit bull rescue for years, I'm very familiar with banding. Any special instructions for Cocktail?OK so here's My prediction on your little girl in the cup. Her belly button is going to completely close up, however, she is going to continue to have that bubble hanging for a while. The closed up belly button will adventually cut off ALL circulation to the bubble and it will be totally useless.. Yes it will fall off but it will take some time... Once it does close up, she can come out of the cup because it's not going to do anything, even if it pops it's not going to hurt her because the belly button has completely blocked it. Its not going to be a pretty site for a while....
Think of it like a rubber band, This is going to be a HORRIBLE scenerio but just to give you an idea of what might happen.
Dog owners and even horse owners, will take a rubber band and wrap it as tight as they can around a dogs tail so that the tail will fall off and they will be tailless. Horse owners will do the same thing to horse so they can no longer be used for breeding that is Male/stud Horses.. lol I know I KNOW, I warned you this was going to be a horrible scenerio...
So the belly button is bascially going to do the same thing, It will close up blocking that bubble from entering inside her and turn black and fall off.
This is actually not a bad thing, because like I said earlier she is opened up to a WHOLE bunch of infections, now if that is or has any type of infection on it, bacteria etc. It will not enter her body and cause another issue...
Of course, we did not want this to occur but from that pic, it looks like she's rolling the dice not us.. So will let her do her thing...
She's so impatient and stubborn. Yes definitely a girl. HAHAHAHHAHAHA, her and I have something in common. LOL
Lacrystol, thank you for always trying to help and for sharing your knowledge. Win or lose, it's lessons learned.
