I couldn't get into Psych through most of the first season because I had just finished Medium and Psych was a "similar show" recommendation. It was really nothing like Medium, so I struggled through kind of half watching it for most of the first season. I came to like it enough to be in the process of finishing it, but it's not on my top 20 list of shows I've ever watched.

My favorite BBC show of all time is Fawlty Towers. There was only one season of that, but I've seen it enough times that I can recite along with the episodes when I replay them, which I still do.

Fawlty Towers!!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! The Mentalist, I'm trying it out. Light humor, Mike and Molly!

Well, I lost my khaki campbell duck I moved her (and her chicken friends so she'd have support) into the big coop and run with the drake and broody pekin two days ago and tonight I found her dead in the structure that my pekin is brooding in. I don't know what happened. She has no wounds and the drake wasn't bothering her any more. They even had a nice swim together the day I put her in. It's like she just went in there, never came out to drink, and basically killed herself. She was fine yesterday when I checked up on her, just hanging out in the structure which I figured she was doing because it made her feel more secure.

Thanks everyone for the advice on trying to introduce my duck to my drake. He's getting really lonely now so I tried again, but now she's afraid of him and runs from him so that sets him off chasing her, sigh. He does eventually stop and he actually chased my goose off from her when she tried to give her a hard time, so I guess it's progress. I'm going to go ahead and try to find another same age duck so she can have a friend and I'll try introducing them both at once. The darn drake is trying to wander off to live with the neighbor's flock - they have khakis, and a big pekin males who always chases him off. He keeps crossing the road to get there and it makes me nervous and I don't want to lose him so if he doesn't accept the khaki as his flock mate and hang around he's going to get penned up on his own for three weeks until his girlfriend finishes her hatch. I hate to do it but it's for his safety.

If 3 week's don't work, duck soup..

It is never a good idea to move a broody, or a chicken... It upsets them too much.. She was probably acting like a pshyco, a Moma Hen thought something was wrong and her instinct took over.. That's nature..

Oh wait, did you think I moved a broody, or that the broody killed her? I didn't move a broody, the pekin was broody, not the khaki. I hope the pekin didn't kill her

It is possible for a broody duck to attack a new duck. So that is possible along with an illness or something else. I'm sorry for your loss. It's best to separate broody ducks from the rest of the flock so that they don't get harasses or other ducks attack the ducklings when they hatch.

IMO a broody duck should always be moved to a brooding pen where she can have peace and quiet, food and water of her own that she does not have to compete over and her babies will have a better chance of survival.

I second that. Some ducks get in a very bad temper while they're setting and will attack things they perceive to be a threat, including other ducks they previously got along with. There are also some that will abandon the nest if there's too much disruption around them.
